What We Do
PAGREXCO has established a state-of-the-art infrastructure to meet all the needs related to processing, grading, sorting, and transporting fresh fruits and vegetables.
We are responsible for promoting fresh fruits and vegetables, making farmers self-reliant by providing market linkage and access to more consumers, and helping the state’s farmers realize better returns for their produce.
- To attain increased efficiency and reduced risk, we at PAGREXCO work hard to build close relationships with farmers and help them get remunerative prices for their produce.
- We purchase Fruits and vegetables directly from farmers as per pre-existing prices. Subsequently, we sort and grade at our pack-houses and prepare them for export and distant national markets.
Market Linkage
- We identify farmer’s product and link them with commercial and institutional buyers.
- Facilitate the development and negotiation of contracts via facilitation model.
- Education and creating value through development of packing, branding (Under brand Five Rivers) and exposing farm output direct to consumer market and commercial establishment.
- PAGREXCO also markets agricultural products such as the Kinnow fruit at the pan-India level. We are tied up with prominent e-market companies such as Bijak, Wegrow, Big Basket, NeML, and Sammunanti, giving farmers access to better facilities and lucrative prices.
- PAGREXCO set up pack-houses for washing, grading, sorting, and packaging agricultural and horticultural products in Punjab, providing facilities for distant marketing and exporting fruits and vegetables.
- Strategically located in the fruits and vegetables growing clusters of Punjab like Fazilka, Hoshiarpur, Bhatinda, Mukhtasar Patiala, Sangrur, Ludhiana, Ropar, etc., these pack houses serve facilities like washing-waxing-grading-packing, pre-cooling, and cold storage.
- There are six pack-houses are spread over half an acre of land and act as a collection or sourcing centre for fruits and vegetables in their respective regions.
