At PAGREXCO, we are fervently promoting organic farming in the state of Punjab, implementing the Organic Programme, and providing institutional support to organic farmers under various GOI schemes.
What We Do
With a vision to revolutionize organic farming in Punjab, a base of 2,000 farmers with an area of 5,000 acres is under an organic certification regime. Organic food is grown with compliance to organic standards of national and international production standards, and certified by renowned global agencies. PAGREXCO directs and mentors the associated farmers keenly in the field.
Using modern block chain technology, we can trace this product to the last mile and the farmer who grew organic produce.
Farmer mobilization is done through newspapers and awareness camps in every district of Punjab.
The process is carried out in cluster form through a digital traceability app and geo-tagging of their farms.
Registered farmers are facilitated by giving on farm as well as off-farm training and proper guidance for improving soil fertility.
Regular training on bio-input units, soil sampling, QC, internal control system, and process documentation.
We give farmers certified Bio-inputs.
Continuous monitoring in all stages by internal control system for compliance of National & International organic standards.
Annual Inspection conducted by APEDA accredited certification agency, and an organic certificate is provided after completion of three years under certification.
At Punjab Agro we integrate blockchain technology for the traceability of information in food production, security, and safety. The technology provides us with a secure way of storing and managing agri-based data, which includes different phases and activities of food production.
All the farming-related information at every stage of its production is accessible to Government, businesses, and consumers with just one click. Consequently, this allows us to facilitate the agriculture sector and use data-driven innovations for smart farming in Punjab.
