 Mega Food Park, Ludhiana

Punjab Agro has developed industrial park for food processing entrepreneurs under the Mega Food Park Scheme of Ministry of Food Processing, GoI .  The food park is based on hub and spokes model. The Hub being the Central Processing Centre(CPC) at Ludhiana and four spokes are the Primary Processing Centres (PPCs)at Hoshiarpur, Amritsar, Abohar and Talwandi Sabo.

Food park is close to world-class national and international research institutes, viz. Directorate of Maize Research Institute, Borlaug Institute of South East Asia for wheat, Forest Research Institute, Punjab Agricultural University and Shri Guru Angad Dev Veterinary University.

In addition, all major agriculture production centres are within range of 200 km radius. This ensures abundant and sustainable availability of food grains, fruits and vegetables for the Food Processing Units. The city also has three world-class logistic parks, an airport and is part of Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (EDFC).
