Fertilizers

To support the farmers of Punjab, PAIC has signed an MoU with IFFCO for the sale of fertilizers. The MOU is a significant step taken by both corporations to encourage the farmers, retailers and dealers in the agriculture sector in Punjab.

Seed Promotion

Wheat seed cultivation is taken up in an area of 224.35 Hectares in Punjab, where many variety seeds are cultivated. Currently, 41 registered farmers under PAIC are producing wheat seed in the state of Punjab.

Gypsum and Dhaincha Seeds

Punjab Agro Industries Corporation Limited has started the distribution of Gypsum and Dhaincha Seeds from FY- 2020-21 on 50% subsidy and Rs. 2000 per QTLs, respectively, among the farmers of Punjab state for reclamation of degradable soils under the Crop Diversification Program (CDP) and Rashtriya Krishi Vikas Yojana (RKVY).

In an endeavour to facilitate the rural vehicle movement and to expand the income sources, PAIC is presently running five petrol pumps. PAIC has leased out six petrol pumps to IOCL. All the petrol pumps (Retail Outlets) of PAIC have access to essential services and quality oil supply, offering hassle-free fuelling facilities to the vehicles in the region.

PMFME Scheme

The ‘PMFME’ Scheme aims to enhance the competitiveness of existing individuals in the unorganized segment of the food processing industry and promote formalization of the sector, and support Farmer Producer Organizations, Self Help Groups and Producers’ Co-operatives along their entire value chain for sorting, grading, assaying, storage, common processing, packaging, marketing, processing of agri-produce and testing laboratories.

Mega Food Park

Punjab Agro Industries Corporation (PAIC) has developed a multi-commodity Mega Food Park on 100 acres of land at Ladhowal, Ludhiana, with an investment of Rs. 118 cr. under the Mega Food Park Scheme of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India.
